i've always seen zalgo as a sentient storm, like, he's not just an entity, he's a force of nature, he's the nearly invisible force of hatred that infects all of us ok so in my take, zalgos whole thing is feeding off hatred words of hate and human fear give him strength which is why he shows up via corrupted text and such which also explains his debuts in comics, people read newspaper comic to get away from the hatred and stuff thats on the front page but zalgo has other plans

his whole deal is using humanity's language and words against them

and jay's a fucking CATALYST of zalgo's hate, since his suit also runs off of digital anger, if Zalgo ever got his hands on jay, it could very well spell the end of everything

General Creepypasta Headcanons - part 4

Zalgo - Zalgo is a terrifying creature beyond words imaginable- The air around this being is suffocating, reeking of death and the pure evil that he is. Somehow, though, he can use this to manipulate the weak of heart, seeing that they already find comfort in fear so who cares if he reeks of it?

Despite Slendermans faults, he is the one being keeping Zalgo at bay from destroying this world and moving on to the next. This is where their rivalry comes from, and whether the other pastas know it or not, they are fueling Slender with the energy to continue fighting the demon.

Laughing Jack - Jack is honestly one of the worst kinds of Pastas. I like to think he was once very good before everything, but since then he's locked away any kindness he once had. Those emotions died with the rest of him when he was locked away in that box. Jack lives to be the worst version of himself and he will ruin everyone in the process. He's like a sinking ship and everyone around him will go down with him if they don't get away in time, whether its another creep or a victim.

LJ has a lot of self-destructive tendencies, between scratching himself, harming the people he claims to 'care' for, eating the poisoned candy and having a reaction similar to drugs, LJ does not have a single self-care or healthy bone in his body. He destroys himself through his hatred and depression and everyone will suffer with him. He wants everyone to hurt as much as he does.

Jason the Toymaker - So there's not a lot about Jason that I'm going to change from what we already know of him. He's manipulative, eccentric, loud, and controlling. Any attempts victims make to escape him ends in their death. The one thing that I do want to add is his sheer desperation to have someone. I like to imagine that despite the relationships he has as a Pasta, they can only keep him satisfied for so long. He wants stability and commitment, something healthier than when he and his partners beat the shit out of each other just by being angry and not being able to kill each other.

Jason genuinely cares for the people he kidnaps, he just can't express it the correct way considering everything. I see Jason having always wanted to be a father/father figure with a child he could love and spoil rotten, but he gets attached and controlling and any second they're not paying attention to him is another second he is to going ballistic.

Candypop - Candypop is a demon disguised as a Jester, so his cruel behavior comes purely from the being that he is. An Incubus being the correct term. Children host a vast amount of energy that he feeds from, needs to feed from, to survive. Not all Incubi feed from sexual energy, even though Candy definantly could- he craves that innocent nature and joy children have when receiving a balloon. The fear that comes when he reveals himself as something other than a man dressed as a clown. He thrives for it-

I did mention that the clowns have all hooked up with each other at one point in time or another, and that Jason and Candy have a fairly decent friendship after deciding that dating did not work out for them- I think it would be sickly funny for Candypop to feed from the energy of his victims, but not et kill them- and then 'let' them escape to Jason. In their traumatized state they'd be willing to trust anyone willing to help, making it easier for Jason to manipulate them and keep them just a little while longer.

Homicidal Liu - I did make a post about Liu and Sully, But I'll say it again in a smaller format. Liu and Sully are both the leading alters in their system. I headcanoned Liu to have 4 more alters, not including Sully, but making 6 altogether. Liu is very reserved and quiet, he speaks only when absolutely necessary and keeps to himself as much as possible. Liu doesn't live in the outposts with the other Pastas and has tricked a few into thinking he is a Pasta. He isn't- Not with his soul mission to be hunting down his brother. Whomst is a Pasta.

Liu is still deeply traumatized by what happened to him, with sever PTSD, he doesn't sleep unless every entrance to the room is locked. He has night terrors of that night that he abruptly forgets once he wakes up fully. He is still trying to fight his brother off. Surprisingly enough though, Liu doesn't remember what happened to him fully. That is why he still adores his brother so much- He knows Jeff was tied into the attack, but he doesn't remember that it was his brother who caused it- refuses to believe it was his brother who caused it- If only Sully let him remember...

Sully - Sully is the second alter of the system; he's a jackass for sure, but between him and Liu, he actually remembers what happened to them. It is his place as a protector to protect them- including from letting what happened to them happen again. Sully refuses to sleep for this reason, expecting that if he did, Jeff would be back to finish the job. So Liu or another alter that doesn't know their trauma fully will have to make sure their body gets proper rest.

With this, Sully doesn't let Liu remember what happened because he knows Liu would not be able to handle the information. He denies it fighting tooth and nail that his brother would d eve cause him harm, the memory would only make things worse for Liu and he would likely go into a depressive/vegetative state. So he withholds the memory until Liu learns for himself that Jeff can't be trusted. Despite Sully's cold and cruel demeanor he truly cares for people, and when he cares, he cares with every fiber of his being- He will protect Liu and the other alters with every breath until his existence were to come to an end.

Kate the Chaser - I really almost forgot one of my favorite Proxies in the previous post, so here I am adding her to this one. Kate was trained by Masky, so she holds the same bitter and cold personality that he does. It's how she survived him- shutting down her emotions just to get by and now she can't feel anything anymore. Kate also finds comfort being around Hoodie, but not as a father figure. She refuses to acknowledge how comforting he is to be around and therefore avoids him for it. Kate and Toby have never interacted, so she cant hold much of an opinion on him. If she did, she would be protective of him and hate him at the same time-

Kate is also still adapting to the new timeline, seeing as I headcanon her to have been brought back in time a great deal from a future existence. Now living without things she use to have and with things she never had to use before- Kate is partially struggling just existing on her off hours, so she prefers not having any- not unless she is resting. She has become so alienated from everything that it scrambled her head up quite a bit, giving her an animalistic personality when she isn't apathetic.

ZALGO HCS

Its hard coming up with a base for a character who can really just be summed up with “evil meme wants to destroy humanity” but I tried because he is my husband and I Iove him dearly.

Zalgo feeds off of chaos, destruction, and corruption. He emits this aura that makes people easy to charm, or irrational and angry.

Yes, Zalgo occasionally directly ruins, influences, and corrupts people for fun. But it would not be accurate to point at every single sign of evil and blame Zalgo for it.

Rather than making people evil, or corrupt, or a bully, Zalgo focuses on tormenting the already tormented.

Zalgo just pushes people over the edge.

Where there is chaos, violence, evil, corruption, Zalgo is aware of it. He isn’t “there” spectating the ordeal with a ghostly bucket of popcorn, but he is aware of it and he feeds off it.

He can take a look at one person and know exactly what they have went through, and what has shaped them and ruined them, and he credits himself for it and uses it to his advantage. This is what I mean when I say Zalgo is aware of all the horrible things that happen.

Does Zalgo deserve this credit he gives himself? Most of the time, no, but it makes him feel good and his ego is too massive for him to acknowledge the truth.

There are many factors that led to creepypastas like Jeff going insane and Eyeless Jack turning into what he is now, but Zalgo just claims that he is the reason why they are what they are and takes pride in it, even though his claim is false.

Zalgo can be only closely described as a “force of nature” only when he is confined to or trapped in the UnderRealm. When confined to the UnderRealm, Zalgo is unable to manifest himself and become tangible. He is nothing but a voice in people’s heads, trying to mess with their thoughts and/or an invisible force fucking with people’s emotions and rational.

This is where the “corrupt media” part of him comes in. Zalgo corrupts media, messes with people’s minds and emotions to gain more influence, to cause more chaos, so that he can manifest himself into a physical form where he is much more powerful and influential.

The UnderRealm is not a tangible place, you cannot go there, you cannot take a step in there, it is not a place, just a state of existence, you are dead, but also alive at the same time.

Obviously being non-existent and existent at the same time sounds extremely conflicting and unpleasant, so no wonder Zalgo does all he can to keep his influence to prevent himself from being banished back there.

Please feel free to ask stuff. I find it easier to come up with stuff when I have an actual question I can focus on answering. ​I’m writing this very late at night so it might not even be that good.

how do you guys headcanon zalgo’s character??? ive heard so much discussion about slenderman, but what about this guy???

i’ve always imagined him as like an oogie-boogie gamblin’ man type character. It’s cool, but it’s also a good contrast from Slenderman’s stoic and serious nature in my crossover au. Also the song “Shady” from the Great Gatsby Musical would give you a really good idea of what my Zalgo is like.

I was originally going to just redesign Lazari but completely abandoned that in favour of creating my own derivative lore and mythos.
